The topics you coverin these sessions are to be news subjects; in this way you will keep up to date with what is going on in the world, learn some new, useful and interesting vocabulary as well as be able to use this general knowledge in different relevant lessons.
So I advise you to take notes and to learn the vocab as you go along, it can't hurt you!
