This week you were only 2 pupils. We did a general recap on the clichés and stereotypes, icons and so on then listened to an oral document about the undocumented immigrant, and viewed a cartoon about the problem of racism in the USA.
You will have a written and oral evaluation on Friday November 16th about the sequence. Please be ready.

So the list has finally been sent out and I had chosen one of the best already!
We will keep for our main novel the Beverley Naidoo , The Other Side of Truth .
Try to buy it in Puffin edition . You can get it easily on Amazon.fr for around 5euros.
However there is nothing to stop you from having a look at the following books, which are on the off
icial list, if you have some spare time during the summer:
Langston Hughes: Selected Poems ( We did some of his poetry this year in 1re )
Hanif Kureishi: The Budha of Suburbia ( We study an extract in 2nde, Multicultures )
Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society ( This is a very new book about the way people resisted against the German occupatio
n during WW2, informative yet humorous at the same time. Very interesting for those of you doing the European section.)
Some of you should recognise some of these names and titles from work we've done together in the past!
