This week with a brave few of you we took a look at certain basic mistakes you constantly make and tried to remedy them. Bravo to those of you present!

This week we started working on some revision subjects in preparation for your final exam. I must add that not all of you were present, however those who were worked correctly.

No lessons this week due to the PO orals.
I have asked our Deputy Head to pass on another 'mock subject' to be completed in 3 hours without help. I will not be in school next week since I am evaluating the Europeam section pupils for their final exam. You should be testing yourselves now too in preparation for your final exams!

Week 25 Monday March 31st - Saturday April 5th 2014
We finished working on Alejandro and the Facing Realities text then recapped all the info and documents we'd used for the four notions. We had a bit of time however to devote to a listening!

Week 20 Monday February 10th - 15th 2014
Only one lesson this week since we went to the cinema to watch Minority Report on Monday.
We talked about the movie on Tuesday and I gave you the choice of a written expression eithe rabout the film or about the texts on Places and forms of power.
Don't forget to hand in the EE on March 10th and the CE on March 4th. We will only see each other once the first week due to your PO mock oral exams.
I asked you also to write a few words as to the main idea in the document we were studying in class. Be ready for March 4th.

Week 18 Monday January 27th - February 1st 2014
This week we started on a new sequence and a different notion. Having introduced this new sequence I gave you an article to read for homework. I hope you have done it.
On Tuesday you had a listening, examination style, in order to give you some training. In general the results were average to okay.
Anyone who has not given either the 2,50 euros or the parental authorisation for the cinema of February 10th should do so ASAP.

This week we continued working on the Idea of Progress by finishing off the work on My Sister's Keeper as well as working on the influence of Facebook.
Don't forget that you will have a marked CO on Tuesday January 28th and that you should be starting to choose your documents for your PO for this sequence. The next film we will be viewing also concerns the Idea of Progress.

Having gone over the two first texts, Design your Baby, we studied A Booming Business then you saw the trailer of My Sister's Keeper. I asked you to review this trailer at home in order to find out why Kate's sister had gone to see the lawyer.

This week we worked on the film The Visitor, checked over you'd understood certain things and you were asked to do a written homework for January 6th on the topic , a letter or a dialogue.

Week 12 Monday December 2nd - 7th 2013
This week we went over your last test then started on the second notion.
I also gave you some documents to look through as to how to write an essay, write a dialogue and a letter. ALL was explained in French, with examples so it shouldn't have created too many problems. You can ask me all the questions you need to and we will be doing examples in class or for homework so ...............
We also went to see the film, The Visitor which is in keeping with one or two of the notions you have to be aware of this year. I do hope you enjoyed it! We'll talk about it next week.

This week you had, at last, a mini test on the notions, I gave you back the listening comprehension and we continued on the three written texts we'd studied.

This week we finished off the notions. You'll have a test on these next Monday. Then you had a listening evaluation entitled Undocumented Aliens.
We will be finishing off this unit next week, preparing an oral presentation then you'll have a written comprehension test.

This week we finished off work on myths and heroes. Next week you will heve a test on Undocumented Aliens and we'll finish off the two notions left to cover.

Week 6 Monday October 7th - 12th 2013
This week we continued working on the Pilgrim Fathers, Plymouth rock and the Wall. The Wall is a listening document which you had to work on in class.
Having prepared the historical background you were then asked to interpret a visual document about the same topics.
This is to be finished off next week. Please don't forget the last two notions we've to check over.
