Very little work this week due to the conseils and the euphoria of the last few days at school. I was a bit disappointed in not seeing the 1S, please forgive my absentmindedness, but I had to attend the conseil of the 5th form on Wednesday so could not see you.
Do have a nice holiday and work on your English where ever you may be!
As for the fifth formers I hope you will come back next year ready for what ever section you have chosen!

We continued working on fairy tales this week by finishing off the traditional version of LRRH and reading a moderner one. Some of you also exchanged two versions of 'The three little pigs'.

This week we started a new sequence on Fairytales. We thought about what they were, gave some examples and them started telling one together. In group work we studied three variations of LRRH.

As a treat we watched the film Billy Elliot, from beginning to end since you had been working on bits of it over the last few weeks. Some of you seemed to really get into the storyline. HAVE A NICE HOLIDAY;

We only saw each other once this week due to your year group evaluations. We continued with the work on Billy Elliot, his story, dream of going to dancing school fulfilled.

This week you sent a letter to Agony Aunt then continued working on Billy Elliot . I gave you some work to be getting on with, Not for Lads and a summary of the last part of the film we viewed.

This week we recapped on Tim's problem with his parents and continued working on the generation gap idea with Billy Elliot.
Don't forget you have a letter to write next week imagining you are Tim aout his growing comflict with his parents.

This week you had your final task on Crime in which you had to play detective. Questions, possible motives and a storyline were on the agenda.
I gave you your second term marks and my comments since on the first Tuesday and Wednesday there will be your 'conseils de classe'.
In the group session on Friday we resumed the work on More like your Sister, went over a few exercises and literally tried to keep you awake!

This week we had to go over quite a few things which you had either already handed in or we needed to check through. All of this , of course, was to make you use both crime vocabulary and expressions of probability!

We only saw each other for the group work and one session this week. During this time we continued working on suppositions, equivalents and crime.
Unfortunately I will not be available for you during the next two weeks due to the written and oral mock exams. I HAVE HOWEVER GIVEN YOU SOME WORK TO BE GETTING ON ( a text and an expression + learn all the vocab we've covered on crime ) so make good use of your time.

This week in the group sessions we finished off working around last year's rundown and resolutions then did a vocabulay classifying exercise on Crime words. In the class sessions we finished off the work on the listening, The Clock Strikes Twelve, then started on a suppositions exercise( may, might can't, must and equivalents ).
You have read the mini text and study the visual inorder to create 5 sentence about the situation + equivalents.
There is no lesson next Wednesday so you have the time to do this exercise correctly.

We had one class lesson and our group lessons this week in which we did a run down of last years news events then started on our next sequence by listening to a crime story.

This week we all listened to the school report concerning the multicultural communities in Britain. We likewise studied an extract from The Buddha of Suburbia , worked on link words and were given some work on tense coordination to do. Quite a full week really and I was relatively pleased with what you had managed to do. Well done!

We only had one hour of lessons this week because of the 'conseils '. In this hour we checked over some work, some pictures and a quiz in connection with our new Multicultural theme. I was rather pleased since most of you were ready!

This week you recorder your invenntions in the group lesson and after your last mini test on those irregular verbs we attacked a new sequence, Multicultural UK by looking at a few pictures. You have to be ready to describe them next Wednesday and have done the Quiz I gave you on the same subject.
