Last Tuesday evening a group of 19 pupils and three teachers, including myself, went to the residence of the American ambassador to listen to a talk on global warming. Mr Will Steger, a well-known American explorer, educator and environmentalist was there to tell us about his first hand experience in the polar regions. We spent an agreeable hour listening to his warning and then , over cocktails, either made small talk with other groups present or tried to continue the conversation with Mr Steger himself.
We hope to continue our contact with the cultural department of the American embassy on this topic, especially for Earth day .Here are one or two photographs to show you all how things went.
