Week 9 Thursday 5th - 7th Nov, 2009

This week we went over the cartoon and comic strip to refresh your memories about the topic under squestion . This made us talk about the mass murder which had taken place the day before in a fort in Texas and what is more by an adult soldier!

We continued talking about the causes and possible remedies to this problem according to a certain nuber of adults questioned by CNN News. Who or what was to blame, responsible for, guilty of , to be accused of , to be reproached for such atrocities? How should, ought we to remedy them? By doing what? If we could help what should we do?

I gave you a text to read for next Monday's lesson. Please prepare it!

In the group lesson we viewed the cartoon video extracted from Micheal Moore's Bowling for Columbine, which gives us his version of why the Americans are gun nuts. He says they have a history of fear and so need protection!

We will pick it up again next Monday.
