Week 5 Monday 28th Sept - October 3rd 2009

This week we finished working around the visual document then watch a videocast against child labour in the Caribbean. We commented on it as for a visual document then gave advice to the children as well as saying what we would do if we were in their shoes.

We then introduced a text, an article from BBC Delhi news which you have to prepare for next Wednesday.

Don't forget I am not in school next TUESDAY, October 6th.

In the group lesson we worked on two cartoons in which we saw the difference in mentality and attitude between the parents of the 1960s and those of 2009 towards the education of their children . In 1969 parents obliged their children to work hard at school whereas today they try to put pressure on teachers and make them give their pupils good marks whether they deserve them or not !

You were given some exercises to complete for the 13 October. I was really pleased with your attitude, work and goodwill today, well done!

See you next Wednesday.
