Week 3 Monday September 16th - 21st 2013

This week we only had class on Monday when we talked about Ishmael Beah, his book and started studying three extracts. Then on Friday certain pupils and myself were lucky enough to go and meet Mr Beah, listen to him talking about his experiences and ask him questions about his life.

I hope you all had a day
to remember just as I did. What a wonderful, even though a hard experience. I do believe you understood most of what was being said and seemed to be enjoying yourselves.
Do you realise that you sat still for two and a half hours just listening and asking questions?????!!!!!!!!

After the intellectual meeting we let off some steam in the  Luxembourg gardens. One of the teams found out loads of information about what was in there, historically, culturally, politically and horticulturally speaking. BRAVO! The local police even complimented you all on your respect and politeness.

Thanks for sharing this memorable day with Mrs Berqoqi and myself.

Don't forget that there are 4 signed books of Ishmael Beah to win as prizes for your work about him. He was happy he could incite you all to express yourselves either orally or in writing.
