Week 2 September 7th - 11th 2009

This week was a start up one in which we went through classroom English expressions and did an exercise following instructions in order to familiarize ourselves with them . You will be having a mini test on these , plus a general oral evaluation on September 14th, so be ready.

In your first module we worked around the oral side of English, especially dealing with pronunciation and the phonetic alphabet. We had a laugh watching a few films which are to be found on this blog and then tried to get our tongue around some tongue twisters. You have to learn three and be ready to say them next week.
Finally we read a poem entitled English is a Pain, once again in connection with pronunciation, in particular homophones. This too you were asked to learn.

Have fun and be ready for the evaluations next week, but don't panic . If you do your best that's all we can expect of you!
