Hernandez V Texas January 11th 1954, a case which has gone down in history as being the beginning of a change , atleast officially, for the Mexican population in the States. Neither black nor white, separate, unequal and alone in life as in death, they were a class a part. Overtly discriminated against even though their young men had fought in the Second World War on the same side' as the Caucasions it wasn't until the United States Supreme Court ruled it was unconstitutional to treat them as if they weree an inferior race that things started moving!
