Week 19 Monday January 26th - 31st 2009

We only had one hour together this week because on Wednesday I was busy organising for Eddy Harris' visit . Your history /geography teacher made good use of the hour however !

On Friday we finished off the work around San Fransisco by completing the Otis Redding song , On the Dock of the Bay and discussing it . We finished on a less agreeable note by talking about the Great Frisco Earthquake of 1906 as well as advice as to how opne should behave in such a situation !

For next week , in groups of three , you have to prepare a sketch in which you must give back all the information you have learnt about this Californian town . You can be a tourist guide and tourists , an inhabitant of the town talking to friends , the boss of a new computer company talking to customers or new employées and so on and so forth.................................. Use your imaginations . I'm pretty sure you will come up with something really interesting ! These sketches will be marked .
