Week 13 December 8 - 13 th 2008

This week , after our initial activity , we continued working on Bend it like Beckham . We pulled together the cultural elements and set the scene for the rest of the film .

On Friday morning , we viewed another part of the film in which Joe , the coach of the women's soccer team , went to visit Jessminder and her family to see why she hadn't been to the training sessions . We learn that Mr Bahmra didn't want Jess to play soccer so that she wouldn't be disappointed as he had been . Infact he had wanted to play cricket when he arrived in England but because of his turban hadn't been accepted on the team !

There were no module sessions this week since I was in conseils de classe on both Thursday and Friday afternoon .

Don't forget next week I am on a training course on Wednesday and Thursday . All pupils will do the end of sequence test on Friday morning and all of you should be present on Friday afternoon for our multicultural party !
